FAQs

What shall I bring to first aid training?

Please wear comfortable, modest clothing as a considerable amount of time is spent completing the practical elements of the first aid training, particularly CPR. Also bring a pen and paper for taking notes.

Please bring your sense of humour too!

What if I have a health issue?

Please discuss with the first aid trainer/instructor prior to attending, any health issues which may affect your first aid training and assessment.  Practicing of Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is done on the floor using first aid training manikins.

What is a USI Number and why do I need one?

Do you offer support for language, literacy and numeracy issues?

Please discuss any language, literacy or numeracy issues with us prior to attending.  This will enable the instructor to organize appropriate support facilities, for example, we can arrange to conduct assessments orally rather than in the written form, or provide extra tuition, as appropriate.

What is the outcome of the First Aid course?

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for the units upon your successful completion of all assessment activities.

How do I pay for my First Aid training course?

We allow students to pay on the day by cash, cheque, credit card, or EFTPOS or direct deposit before the course date. Please allow enough time for funds to be transferred before your course date. All our prices stated on the website are GST inclusive.

Do you have a code of conduct?

Acceptable behavior and standard of dress is required.  You will be practicing the recovery position on fellow students, and you must at all times adhere to the instructors directions.  Unacceptable and / or dangerous behavior which causes risk to yourself and / or others will cause your removal from the first aid training course without refund.
