Course Summary
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID009.
This course will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform CPR and use defibrillation on a casualty who has stopped breathing. Not only suitable for those needing a CPR certificate for work, but anyone interested in learning these lifesaving skills.
This course is being offered by The First Aid Group, Registered Training Organisation 32268. Training and assessment is undertaken by BLS First Aid on behalf of The First Aid Group.
HLTAID009 Enrolment in Kakowan Community Facility
Training is conducted in Kakowan Community Facility, 2 Pine Hills Dr, Bunya QLD 4055. Bookings can be made through our booking form on the right-hand side of this page.

Minimum Age
Due to the adult learning environment, we do not recommend registration of participants under the age of 14 however, if required, you may discuss this directly with your trainer.

HLTAID009 Entry Requirements
It is recommended that participants proficient in English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the CPR training.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury, please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements
Participants will require suitable LLN skills to complete the following tasks/skills:
- Read information from a PowerPoint and whiteboard
- Listen and understand verbal information delivered by an English-speaking trainer
- Read and answer a multiple-choice question paper
- Read and answer a short-written answer test
- Listen to instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator where prompts are delivered in English
- Be able to count to 30
